Happy Memorial Day, BP Community! From all of us here at BP headquarters we wish you the happiest of holidays on this rather important day for our country and its' many heroes.
I'm writing today to tell you about our fearless leader, Jim Miotke (aka BetterPhotoJim), who is currently in NYC giving presentations at B&H Photo. Today, Jim spoke to a sold-out and enthusiastic crowd of creative self-improvers looking for insight on how to achieve their creative goals. Jim's presentation "Dissolving Fear by Getting Clear: The Mindset of the Creative Photographer" was a smashing success!! The crowd was especially responsive to Jim talking about Resistance, which is a theme personified in Steven Pressfield's wonderful book, The War of Art. As Jim likes to break it down, "If I'm afraid of it, I must do it!"
Tomorrow, Jim again presents at B&H Photo... this time the topic will be "The Photographer's Guide to Online Marketing". This promises to be another sell-out event! In this talk, Jim draws on in own experience building BetterPhoto to guide photographers towards setting up their own business, or taking their current business to the next level. Learning how to work with social media, Google-friendly content, web site design and much more, is key to being successful in today's business climate.
Both of these events are a mere taste of what Jim offers in his "Creative Confidence Weekend Workshop". This 3-day event goes more in-depth, as well as covers much more territory. If you are looking to take your creative endeavors to the next level, then this workshop is definitely for you. And there's still time to cash in on our Memorial Day Weekend sale. Sign up today and you will receive a FREE 4-Week photography class at BetterPhoto.com!! (Scroll down to the next blog post for details.)
And last, but certainly not least, Jim will be appearing on Martha Stewart Living Radio this Wednesday, June 2, at 11am PST (or 2pm EST). Tune in to catch Jim talking with Mario Bosquez about everything BP community-related, and to learn more about his current creative projects.
